art of the cubicle

whatever-you-pay-me

Having on occasion been forced to spend tedious hours locked in an office cubicle in an effort to secure funding for my lifestyle, I myself have resorted to the abuse of office supplies in an effort to appease the muse that torments my soul, rather than engage in any kind of activity that may have secured my employer a profit. This was satisfying on a number of levels, as much for the protest against the evil oppression of my creative spirit as for the fact that I discovered that liquid paper was a rather intriguing medium.  Anyway, it seems I am not the only one to have unburdened my soul thus, as you can see in this exhibition of work done in office hours.  There’s some nice stuff here, almost good enough to encourage young artists to get a job – almost but not quite….

I wrote 25 short stories one year while monitoring talkback radio as part of my Govt job. Unsurprisingly, they all sucked.
