Ride the rails.

I loved the Beats when I was a kid, I soaked up Kerouac and Ginsberg like mother’s milk and thought “The Dharma Bums” was a depiction of the ideal life. Here are some photos by a guy who uses the sobriquet “The Polaroid Kidd” (his parents called him Mike Brodie), that brings the freewheelin’ freedom of those books to life, but in the now, if you can dig it. They’re remarkable photos, at once romantic and confronting, of people who may be poor or may be free or some crazy combination of both. Whoever he is, he can sure take a photograph.

Breath the sweet air of freedom my friends
